This Golfer has murder on his mind

This picture was taken on the tee off on #7 at Little Falls Golf Club.

You can see the intent of the golfer, as he winds up, with a big club is to destroy the little White ball.
By the way, those balls do not care if you hit them hard or soft , they will go where they want to.

note : the ball found its way into the jack pine forest on the left of the fairway.

Aug 13th seniors

Aug 13th Seniors golf

It was a hot sunny day with the temps near the 30 mark.
The five golfers who played in the rain in the falls last thursday,
were back home in the safe confines of Little Falls golf coarse, where you can play out of the rough from just about anywhere. Not like the Falls course if you are off the fairway you are in trouble.

15 golfers played today, with the format of day was a scramble with each player
using their drives two times on the front nine and the back nine. everyone played from the red tees all day.

the team of Ron Speck, Jean Lambert and Vern Herbert, were hot, just like the weather.
They turned in a card that had no bogies, but had 6 birdies for a total of 66,
which is the lowest round of the year turned in by a group.

Well done Guys.

Ray Laquerre, Steve Splawski and Richard Lampi had 4 birdies and enough bogies to get a total of 71.
Steve was the putter in this group and Richard with his wayward drives, tested all of Ray’s skill in recovering from the rough.

The Team of Brian McCallum sr., Jerry Cripps and Ed Kennedy scored Birdies on # 4,14 and 16.
They shot a 38 on the front and a 37 on the back nine for a 75 total on the day.

They shot a 39 on the front nine and a 37 on the back with a birdie on hole # 15.

The golf gods were not kind to the group of Franco Calvelli, Leo Lamarche and Scotty Russell as the turned

Week Two Seniors Thursday june 11th

After missing last week because of the cool wet weather, which resulted in very soggy conditions on the course , today was nice and sunny with light winds.

Seventeen golfers were ready to go at 9:00 am.

Every week we try some other format of golf, this week we played the roll the dice game.

Handicaps were used to make up the teams, there were 2 teams of 4 players, and 3 teams of 3 players.

Ray Laquerre, Richard Lampi and Ed Kennedy had the best luck rolling the dice, only rolled one 6 in 18 holes. they ended up with the lowest score of 72.

Ed had a hot putter making puts from 20 and 25 feet. Richard chipped in from off the green on # 3 and Ray’s driving was right down the middle and long.

the team of Wayne Thomas, Vern Herbert and Leo Lamarche took second place with a score of 75.
Third place was captured by Larry Brown, Scotty Russell, Jean Lambert and Pete Barna. they turned in a 77.
Rolling the dice did not work well for the Team of Allan Bruyere, George Coulson, Brian McCallum and Gary Ladouceur, they rolled just about all of the worst shots and ended up scoring an 80.

Harold Mosley, Don MacDonald, and Jerry Cripps, shot a 43 on the front nine but recovered with a 38 on the back nine to finnish with an 81. they have the distinction of shooting, the only 7 of the day.
